Discontinued Rolex watches 2023
Rolex has removed certain watches from its 2023 lineup, which is an annual practice. While some of the discontinuations were expected, others came as a surprise.
Rolex Daytona Watches reference number 116xxx
The previous generation Daytona watches with reference 116xxx have been replaced by the new generation Daytona 126xx series, leading to the discontinuation of certain popular Daytona models, such as the yellow gold Daytona with a green dial, white gold Daytona with a blue dial, and everose Daytona with a brown dial. Additionally, all Daytona watches with meteorite dials have been discontinued. As a result, the demand for these Daytona models, especially the “John Mayer” Daytona, is likely to increase in the secondary market.
Rolex Sky-dweller Watches reference number 326xxx
Similarly, the previous generation Sky-Dweller models with reference 326xxx have been replaced by the new generation 336xxx series with the new 9002 movement, and the discontinued models have been replaced with updated versions.
Rolex Milgauss Watches reference number 116400GV
Rolex has also discontinued the entire collection of its antimagnetic Milgauss watches with lightning-bolt seconds hands, including the Milgauss 116400GV with a Z-Blue dial and a black dial.
Rolex Cellini Watches 50535
Furthermore, the Cellini collection has bid farewell in 2023, with the Moonpase ref. 50535 being the last remaining model that has now been discontinued. The Rolex Perpetual 1908 will now take over from the Cellini as the Rolex dress watch collection with leather straps.
Rolex has always been known for creating exceptional timepieces that cater to various occasions. In 2023, the brand continues to offer an impressive selection of models suitable for any event or situation. From classic dress watches to rugged sports watches, Rolex has something for everyone.
